I feel special!

Today at school, an Edible Arrangement was delivered to me! I was very surprised! A former student sent it to me as a thank you for recently helping her get apply for college, FAFSA, grants, etc. She found out today that she was accepted and doesn't have to pay anything for the first year! She just wanted to thank me for helping, and it was such a neat way to say thanks! I love it! It looks somewhat like this one, minus the balloon, with a mug on the bottom! YUMMY!

We had visitors!

This past week, Alicea came to visit us in Erie! We drank a lot of Starbucks, did a lot of shopping, ate out tons, and played lots of games! Justin, Alice, and Caleb came for a few days too! Caleb is growing so much, he is just over 6 months now! Can you tell who was the focus of our attention?

Drew's New Bronco

Look what Drew noticed today as he worked on getting the garden ready... the rototiller is a BRONCO! How appropriate for him!

Finally... it's here!

We finally have some signs that Spring really is trying to come to Erie! It's 63 degrees at 10:30am... I have already been outside clearing leaves out of flower beds! It's the first day that it's warm enough to open the windows, after I took the plastic coverings off them though! Molly, Annie, and I are really enjoying being outside in the warm sun, and I just wanted to share our first glimpses of hope!

On a side note, our neighbor was outside also this morning... taking down the Christmas lights off her front porch!

All Dressed Up

Our students had to give some very big presentations this week. Most of them took it seriously and dressed professionally. They looked so nice! We were teasing them that we should change our school dress code to professional dress because they all looked great!

'Tis the Season

You know that spring is here when our little, seasonal Dairy Queen opens! Drew saw that it was open on Thursday, and it was so nice outside, so we ran down after dinner to grab dessert. The line was very long, and it closed while we were still in line, so we decided to go back Friday. I got my favorite- caramel waffle crisp blizzard! It was the first of many trips this season!
I was also very excited to find my favorite Easter candy today! For some reason, Walmart and our grocery store no longer carry Russell Stover cream eggs, but we found them at Walgreens! We bought enough to last a long while! YUM!
